About

Built from within the culture. For the community that deserves better.

London, United Kingdom · Founded 2026.

Our story

WeBraids was born from a Saturday.

Not a productive Saturday. Not a relaxing one. A Saturday spent sitting in an unfamiliar home, scrolling Instagram DMs to find a braider, arriving at a stranger's address without a review in sight, waiting three hours longer than agreed, and paying in cash with no receipt and no recourse.

That Saturday — and the millions of Saturdays like it experienced by Black women across the UK — is why WeBraids exists.

We asked a simple question: why does booking a braider in 2026 still feel like a leap of faith? There was no trusted platform — no verification, no reviews, no safety layer — built specifically for Black hair braiding culture in the UK. So we built it.

Our mission

"To help Black women reclaim their time, their comfort, and their confidence — by bringing trusted, verified braiders directly to their door."

Our vision

A world where booking a braider feels as effortless as booking a taxi — and every braider builds a thriving, dignified business.

Our values

Trust First

Verification, reviews, safety, payment protection — every decision starts with trust. Without it, a marketplace is just a gamble.

Crown Culture

Black hair is not a niche. It's a culture — rich, beautiful, meaningful. Our language, design and standards reflect the community we serve.

Time is Sacred

The average salon braiding day costs Black women 6–10 hours. WeBraids gives those hours back to work, family, rest and joy.

Community Power

Reviews that guide bookings. Braiders building businesses. Clients championing each other. Every feature strengthens community, not just transactions.

Dignified Craft

Braiding is skilled, professional work. We treat braiders as the professionals they are — with fair earnings and proper tools.

The problem we're solving

The UK Black haircare market is worth £1.2 billion — one of the fastest-growing segments of the UK beauty economy. Until WeBraids, it had no dedicated technology platform.

For Black women, the status quo meant:

For braiders, it meant:

Why mobile?

The salon model demands that the client comes to the service. WeBraids flips it: the service comes to the client.

Mobile braiding isn't a compromise — it's an upgrade. More relaxed, more controlled, no waiting, full attention. WeBraids is the infrastructure this movement needed.

Your Crown. Your Time. Your Door.
